That game, whose name came from the combination of the words “tetromino” (the geometric figures used in the game) and “tennis”, soon became a legend. Thirty-five years later, the legacy of Tetris is still there. The important thing about the game -the most difficult in the world, some said-, of course, was not that: there was no way to stop playing. That game was called TetrisAnd when Pazhitnov developed it, it didn’t even have graphics: the pieces were made up of blocks that were in turn symbolized by square brackets. He turned on his Electronika 60 computer - a Russian clone of the DEC PDP-11 - and ran that game he had been developing with the help of Dmitri Pavlovski and Vadim Gerasimov.
